The Gardens of the Royal Alcazar of Seville

AKA House Martell

Located near the University of Sevilla in Spain, the Royal Alcazar of Seville is oldest Royal Palace still in use. The history of this architectural wonder dates back to the 11th century and has the influence of numerous different cultures apparent in the structures, gardens, water features, art, and building materials throughout the nearly 10 acres of land this palace lives on.

This photo does not do the palace justice whatsoever, but I wanted to include it as this area is shown in the Water Gardens of Dorne scenes in the Game of Thrones series. Perhaps one day I'll post the series of images I have from our trip to a blog post.
